I knew a very beautiful autistic girl and she had to beat the guys off with a stick. Her lack of personal boundaries made her very touchy-feely around guys.

Yeah, if you look it up online, every single person on youtube who has MD also has autism.

I bet if we could cut off daydreaming, stimming, and exhaustively researching obsessions (all responses to anxiety) 50% of our autism "symptoms" would clear up.

So this topic has been discussed to death on this forum but I'm hoping the mods will give me a pass to do it one more time: constant, incessant daydreaming and if anyone has stopped it. I think researching our obsessions, stimming (rocking back and forth etc), and daydreaming are all means of dealin...

I'm going to be anti-intellectual here but I strongly associate SJW crowds with bullies and belligerents, people who strike first, and not simply hit back.

There's a lot to be said about the anti-PC movement catching a second wind in US right now

This is part and parcel of being a man. I understand and agree with what you mean. These problems face everyone. What I am talking about is the people who go to these boards, like I do, trying to perfect themselves socially, who stay isolated in their rooms all day because they feel they don't fit ...

What a haughty title. I'm 25, have had a girlfriend, graduated college, maintain a few close relationships and a steady job. But one thing still plaguing me- and if you're anything like me, plaguing you - is social anxiety around crowds and the opposite sex. TL;DR: Here's the thing, my entire life I...

Seeing as there is like 500 million threads on Social Anxiety Disorder and Autism on WP I'm going to be sensible and start a new one.

Has anyone here once suffered from SAD and no longer fear social interactions, or at least managed it?

I'll make the same argument here that I've made in other threads about confusion between sociopathy and autism. If a professional (or parent, for that matter) has a choice between two diagnoses, each of which seems plausible, will they choose to diagnose their patient (child) with the treatable con...

I'm posting this because I'm out of options and don't know where to go for help; there's no counselors I know of that are familiar with autism. People are my drug. I was diagnosed with aspergers as a small boy (like 4) and was loved by both my parents, and my family. However, bullying and stigmatiza...

So I got my summons a few days ago and have been in panic since, I haven't slept or eaten much for the past three days. I've been told what to expect from close friends, that I'll be sitting in a room filled with others along with being asked questions, and public speaking. I'm pretty much non-verb...
