Mostly verbal, especially when dealing with concepts. When necessary, I can use images. But, that takes a deliberate act and is not the default. This actually has practical implications, in that I often have trouble "assembling" images of people in my mind, or even recognizing people unless they are...

I have been thinking on this in a more general sense. Are there any social or biological advantages to autism? Regardless of it being social or genetic, a purely defective trait would surely be extinct, or at least much more rare either for reasons of social stigma/penalty or simple attrition. Your ...

TD, everybody has a "dishonest/difficult bank" story. But, swapping out coins is usually pretty straightforward. At most, they ask for a bank card to prove you have an account with them.
My old bank was terrible. But, swapping coins was never an issue. |

To fill in NB15, the "slurshing", (that is the best word I can come up with for it), is a constant thing, but much harder when I am tired or other-wised stressed. Some of this is a question of concentration. The less I can think/concentrate on my words, the worse the problem gets. It also got worse ...

Been having the same problem. Depending on how many servers are between Wrong Planet (whereever their physical plant is) and you, you might be getting more/less iterations of the site with different sub pages. In other words, the main page might be older and thus include the message flag that the ne...

The core idea here is good. Communications between cultures are often hobbled by different languages and different levels of understanding different ideas. And, we have the problem as well. But, communicationg across language and cultural differences is an enormous pain in the ass for many people (a...

The problem is at least partially a communications gap. How many of us can clearly and credibly present insights to others, even discounting intentional stubborness by either party?

Speaking clearly is enough of an issue for me that I try not to monkey around with it too much. My voice tends to have a "slursh" to it, not unlike that of a drunkard. (I do not drink.)

I wish I had this problem. Ditto. :? Why is going to the bank such an issue for some people? (They have limited hours. But, aside from that, I have never had any issues.) When I am lucky enough to accumulate coins, I either roll them, or make a point of having a few counted out for smaller purchase...

I am male and heterosexual. Owing to a semi-joke from a (bi-sexual) friend, I once gave serious thought to being gay. (It would have handily explained by terrible luck with women.) I even tried deliberately telling myself that I was gay. But, aside from obvious "lesbian in a man's body" jokes, I am ...

Eye contact tends to spike my aggression, particularly with strangers. I do not become violent. But, I have to fight the urge to be snarky and remind myself that the person making/seeking eye contact is generally not being hostile. I suppose that staring in the general direction of the person is "cl...
