Hey all, sorry it's been this long since I've last been here. I've been really busy and all. Anyhow, I just posted a video of myself on YouTube about what it's like for me to have Asperger's. This video is about a year old as of today, and it comes from a bigger video from me and eight of my former ...

Yeah, I think the Cartoon Network version has some cut scenes in it, and lat I heard they took it off the air. There's a Platinum DVD version available, with all the cut scenes restored as far as I know, and there's new director's cuts of some of the last episodes, to help clarify and explain things...

Yeah, I agree. Evangelion was entertaining at first, always keeping me on the edge and keeping me eager for what eas going to happen next. But it kept getting just more and more psychological and philosophical, with less and less actual action and events, and more and more what the characters felt a...

I agree. I personally love Napoleon Dynamite, and I think the title character is actually quite similar to being an Aspie. Very socially awkward, yet having specific strengths in a few areas, not having too many friends, but those he has, he gets very close with. I found the movie was very funny as ...

I personally didn't like "The End of Eva" all that much. Yes, there was an actual conclusion to the story as was told up through episodes 1 - 24 of the series, but it was actually just as psychological and just as philosophical as episodes 25 and 26, although not in the same ways. And it left just t...

I saw the third movie first, because it came out in the theaters when I was 18, just old enough to see R-rated movies alone, and then I rented the first two. When I first saw the third movie in the theaters, I thought it was rather impressive, however, after renting the the first two to gain a bette...

I thought I'd start a thread on Neon Genesis Evangelion, an ultra-popular anime that I just finished watching about a month ago, and I feel that it would be appropriate to start a new thread, since I haven't found any others here, at least, not on top, although I must confess I didn't search this fo...

Hey, I don't think Mozart and the Whale is a perfect portrayal of Asperger's either. But hey, they have to start somewhere, and just as we Aspies don't get social situations right the first time around and keep having to work our way up to "perfection", so to speak, it's the same story with neurotyp...

Hey all, I wanted to write you a letter apologizing for my being absent from WP for so long. I've been really busy lately with all my different classes at school in the last two months, although I finally have a sufficient break in my work to do some more posting and respond to what other users have...

I wanted to get some opinions regarding politics and political views of some fellow members. I'm specificlaly looking to get some information on political views of fellow Aspies, but this conversation doesn't seem to have a direct link to Asperger's and autism, at least not an obvious one to me, hen...

I wanted to get some feedback and opinions on this book. The reason I'm posting this is because the book which the title of is the subject of this message, has been somewhat controversial. The author, Mark Haddon, claims to have written it to give what he believes to be an accurate view into the min...

:( We all must remember though, that this is a very tragic and unfortuante loss, for society as a whole, and especially for the aspie community like ourselves. We should really be aware of what or condition means to us, what it can cause up to feel, and most importantly, never to give up hope, even ...

I thought I might start a discussion on what, if any, religious and/or spiritual lives any of us here with autism or Asperger's has. And on what impact our conditions may have had on our faith(s). Even a discussion on how anyone here who has no religious background and could never see themselves bei...

I do believe that there is no one cause of Asperger's or autism, and the possible link between vaccines and heavy metals, is very hotly debated and very controversial. An increasing number of NTs, wanting to do whatever they can to claim they have finally gained control over ASDs (and they never wil...

Hey, I know exactly what all you guys mean. I feel a lot of these way myself a lot of the time. Asperger's just doesn't get the attention it needs, and when it gets any attention, it isn't understood the way it needs to be. I'm a senior in college right now, about to graduate and start looking for a...
