I know for a fact that the way I act has cause more than a few people in my family a large amount of pain. My withdrawls and such have caused me to loose contact with a majority of my family most of the time. Do they not have a right to be upset about how I act? They still love me by the way. but ha...

this is from the same page that was quoted. All human being need to look at the entire issue. not just the sound bite the brain notices. That isn't something that is religated to one group or another. What people with AS contribute to society: Outstanding special abilities, sometimes "genius". They ...

Some of my obsessions are great. I love the fact that I am compelled to learn stuff. I love the fact that I am drawn to puzzles of all kinds. I hate the fact that I obsess over my failures. I hate the fact that I obsess over the fact that I can't get motivated which saps what little I have actually ...

I also suffer from panic/anxiety. At least for me the most crippling of the anxiety is self generated. From the same questions you had about what you are going to be doing with your life. I have gotten better at dealing with the panic attacks. But I have also medicated to help with them also. It hel...

I don't need to change my routines to be "normal" but I would like to be able to change some of my unhealthy routines. Like my routine to not excercise because I don't want to leave the house. I would also like to change my routine of low self esteem. I would like to be able to change the routines t...

when some outside reason dictates that you keep doing something. Once the newness is gone sometimes the action isn't quite as bad. And especially if there are other benifits to doing the action it can become an aquired taste.

lol sorry didn't mean to say that I am always in control of who I am. I become a mirror in many social situations. But for me what I mirror is my responsiblity. I also have self esteem problems and the related issues that goes with it. It comes down to personal responsibility for me. If I release an...

Cant really say what I would want other than to be me. That is all I have ever wanted to be. I am responsible to myself to be me. No one or nothing else can change that. If I am not me for any reason it is my responsiblity. I refuse to let anyone other than myself to determine who or what I am.

When I was in elemetary school it was pretty low. Know it is pretty high. I also have observed young children doing things that "should" ...

It doesn't make the diabetes go away. but they are effectively cured. Maybe it is because I see the end result of being happie...

Knowledge can be use in a useful and good way or in a bad and wrong way. It is up to the people of the world to deside how to use it. And since we are part of the world we have to act in the way best for us and the world. As far as what that means I should do exactly I am still working on that :)

One of the benifits of learning the genetic components to AS would be faster diagnosis in the future and more correct diagnosis. Just a thought about genetic research not being a total waste.
