Sounds like you could be having an AS melt-down rather than a 'psychotic' episode (I've just finished 6 years working in a psychiatric unit!). Might be worth getting checked out if you think it might be a problem.

Funnily enough, that's how I realised I was AS too.... in getting my daughter diagnosed, realised I had similar traits.
