I've noticed that people like being asked to do things. It may seem like why would they want to spend time with you when they could do this or that. that is OUR logic not theirs. If someone wants to hang out with you they will appreciate your advance and if not then they will just make some excuse w...

yeah this happens to me alot. I also forget that people can change. That the person I just thought of as "bad" or "rude" or "ignorant" etc. can actually end up not being that person as time passes. That just because I've classified them as that doesn't mean that is how they will always be.

this is why i explain to people that i'm an aspie and i might not socialize with them sometimes. Not to take it personal and if they don't like it they can go find someone else to waste their breath on.

I use avoidance. If someone asks me to do something that stressful I say no or come up with an easier option. Its not worth it because most people don't understand why you can't function with chaos around you.

I rock back and forth if I am engaged in some thought or activity and often don't notice how violently I am rocking until people are staring at me. I also sometimes talk or hum to myself which makes me sound like a crazy person. It's like an intense inner dialogue goes on in my head and then I say s...

I like everything about aspergers the things that make me not like aspergers are directly related to the fact that were stuck on a planet ruled by neurotypicals. Not being able to get a job even though I work harder than the rest and don't waste time socializing. Being depressed because of the curre...

I can feel every sound physically in my body. Imagine how (i'm assuming) most people feel standing in the middle of a drumline how the beat goes through your whole body. When someone talks i feel the sounds go from top to bottom through my body and it feels like being shocked. It hurts sometimes and...

Only an Aspie would write such a wall of drivel and think others would be even remotely interested in reading it. You are definitely an Aspie. yep its true. we do this. im desensitized to it since my mother is an aspie and she does this crap all the time. ( 12 page long emails, thirty minute phone ...

I love natural disasters. Feels like the earth is cleansing itself. also makes people think more about life and death rather than coke vs pepsi. and everyone always says i wont be saying that if it happens where I live but I'm still praying it happens here so I can be around people when they have no...

another thing i will add is that ive seen a pattern where NTs are frequently instantly attracted to aspies. It never makes sense to me because we are weird and some of us aren't that attractive but NT's seem instantly attracted to me and my aspie friends more so than other NTs. They latch on as if w...

I have a high forehead, asymetrical facial features ( I only use one side of my face actively so one side looks alive and the other looks dull from not being used ) I have heavy eyelids which make me look permastoned (all aspies I interact with have this quality for sure) I have been able to physica...

I have a blanket with a picture of a Native American man and if I make my bed with the picture upside down, I quickly change it or else I will have a bad day. I also see the number 32 a lot when I am going through struggles and it lets me know I am on the right path even if I feel confused. so yes.

I'm 20 and just starting to think about getting a degree in social work. It's ironic that a supposedly non social group of people often end up involved in social settings anyway. well. I was thinking perhaps there is a field of social work that doesn't involve one on one connections with clients. pe...
