You sound like you're already an incredibly strong person for putting up with the horrible things that were done to you. It sounds like you're doing something positive about your feelings as well. Are there any support groups in your area for abuse survivors? It is possible that they may help, and y...

Thank you for the replies, they've helped me feel a bit better. I will talk to my therapist about this, but I haven't got an appointment until Friday. I don't want my parents to find out, because I don't want to worry them and they'll be angry at me, but I do have friends who I feel I can trust, and...

Everything's become too much to handle recently. My best friend overdosed on Tuesday and was in A and E, which was totally unexpected. He had seemed fine. My girlfriend has been grounded and she doesn't have her phone; apparently something very bad has happened but she needs to tell me face-to-face ...

Please don't kill yourself. Life is short enough and sh*t enough as it is, ending it all would just make it shorter for you and worse for people who care about you. You have the potential to get through this. Try to get some healthcare coverage as much as you can, struggle and you might drag yoursel...

I've felt similarly before. The only advice I can really give is to stick it for a few months, and it will get better (when you're at rock bottom, the only way to go is up or out). Life can be good again, if you give it time. Sorry if that sounds overly optimistic, but it is how I have experienced it.

I'm not sure, but he told me that he'd notify me quickly if something bad happened, and he seems more interested in talking about emotional issues and stuff (so probably he wants to talk to me about that stuff). He's also told me to stay calm.

A close friend has recently told me that he is schizophrenic. This has worried me greatly and I'm not sure how to proceed. As a background, I have known him for several years, and he has always had odd behaviours and mental health issues, but until recently they just got worse and worse (a broken ho...

I never thought I'd say this, but I agree with Raptor. Once we as a society start scanning/testing people and judging them based on a "predisposition" rather than their actions, not only have we crossed the line ethically, but we have also taken the first step along a slippery slope. If psychopaths ...

And there's no problem with that.
I am a sort-of furry, and certainly appreciate anthropomorphic animals.

I like the idea of atheistic Satanism as representing human nature and indulgence, and opposing a totalitarian God-concept. LaVeyan Satanism isn't really my thing, because of its right-wing ideology, other forms of it I am open to.

Islamophobia doesn't exist. Being fearful of Islam is not a mental illness; it's a completely rational reaction to the carnage and intolerance we see around the world every day, ably abetted by Islamic scripture, law and customs. What about the carnage and intolerance caused by hate groups like the...

I have recently been on a camping trip to a mountainous area, with lots of beautiful woodland in the valleys and on the slopes. Unfortunately, at this time of year, biting insects seem to rule the forest; bites cover my arms and legs. It was worth it, though, particularly reading my book at sunset w...
