He speaks his mind, he tells me when I mess up e.g. haven't washed up properly so I don't think he does. |

A question for aspies:
How do you feel about the people who think aspergers should be called mild autism instead? Are you comfortable with that? |

| Okay PassionFlowers. I broke up with my gf friend because she would not let me go for a week because she said the same thing. "I can't see why he can't carry on what he does with me there" Like me he is trying his best around you to be on his best behavior. It was very hard for me to handle my GF w... |

| Put it down to experience, the right one will come long sometime. The more exposed you get to meeting people, the easier it will get. It's hard being rejected but try not to let it put you off. |

Don't put pressure on yourself, especially to use the L word.
Let things flow naturally. It's easier said than done but it's better to be cautious than to jump in head first without thinking. The right person will respect that. |

| Lately I've been more in the "just dump 'em" pattern in my responses. That's still my first instinct in this case, but let's be fair. We all have our issues here, myself included. Yes, we all need our "breaks." The longer the relationship progresses, the more time you're going to spend together. As... |

| How long of a break is he needing? It is a huge step to be living with someone for 5-6 days a week. It's important that he support you when you most need it but..... if that means living together for that many days a week, then your needs are being addressed while his need for more space is not. Pe... |

| This isn't the first time since we partly moved in together. We have a strange arrangement in that I take my suitcase to his every Sunday and go home on Friday, because I can't officially "live" there as it will affect his benefits. Anyway he keeps saying he wants breaks when things get too much, I ... |

| Well, he's asked you to move in with him, so if/when you do, problem solved. You're gonna see him EVERYDAY. Well, no, it's entirely possible (and apparently common) for a guy with AS who wants that little contact to just cold-shoulder the live-in gf/wife, who turns into a roommate. A distraught and... |

| Well, he's asked you to move in with him, so if/when you do, problem solved. You're gonna see him EVERYDAY. This is what confuses me. I thought it would be more of a natural progression if we gradually started seeing each other more but I see him no more now than I did when we first started going o... |

| My fiancée (NT) works offshore so that is probably perfect. For two weeks we are together almost every minute of the day, then for two weeks I can recover. I don't know if this is a solution for other people. For her, she hates being apart ever. For me, I hate being lonely. I think for your boyfrie... |

| "Oh that's great" is possibly rude. "I don't know" isn't, but can be annoying. If indecisiveness is bothersome, I recommend finding a solution to it--together. It seems like it bothers you, so your reactions will only get worse. It doesn't seem (to me) that he is uninterested. It seems like you are... |

| I'm an NT and have been going out with my aspie boyfriend for 9 months now. Things have for the most part been really great; he's kind, affectionate and supportive, we've been on holiday together and he's asked me to move in with him. There are however a couple of issues I have with our relationship... |

| Hello all I've not been diagnosed with aspergers, I did the AQ test last week and scored 14 out of 50 which puts me way below the aspergers threshold. The main reason I'm here is because my boyfriend has aspergers and I thought it would be good to talk to other people about it in order to gain more ... |
