With him and talking, it's like this: if you're not telling a story or talking about something, it's dead silence. If you tell him a story, he listens and either laughs or occasionally comments. If you ask him a question, even a mundane like how is it going, he cringes. If you ask less mundane quest...

I am actually outside that box very much. And he did not work out with me. Do you think someone like him, who almost never talks, can work out with *anyone*?

Very true that I shouldn't be his mom for him. I definitely tend to try and be one when I should not. I suppose there is nothing I can do, not being a medical professional. Thank you , all, for the feedback. I will remain friends with him as in be there to listen but won't try to steer him

Yes, I made all the effort from the start. I was fine doing so at first, but came to tire and find the one sidedness a burden. Why? Well, we met online and he actually, surprisingly, contacted me first. I am all about new experiences and, having never dated a younger man, I decided to try it. to the...

No response, really. I think it could stem from his non AS parents spending his childhood trying to forcefully make him normal despite knowing his diagnosis. They mean well but are kind of moronic in their understanding of AS. Btw, I told him the above theory of why he resists change. He unserstood ...

Oh, I flat out told him before. To no avail. He does ask my advice on dressing better and seeems to implement it. But communication--no.
Ahahaha at the required phrase list |

This summer, for about two months, I dated a young man almost a decade younger than I (I am 30) who is diagnosed AS. I am not AS but come from a deeply AS family. I have bipolar traits stemming from an abused childhood (mild ones such as sudden irritability/intense anger if I was deceived or impulsi...

Oh my! A lively penis length discussion has ensued! Regarding length--the poster who is worried about his size should not. Please consider the woman's...size. As in, a petite woman would be thrilled with a 5/6 incher as more would hurt, while a 5'10 and "big and beautiful" female friend of mine, who...

So my AS bf, who is almost 21 and who has never been in a relationship or had sex before me, has become neurotic and self-conscious about his penis length (TMI but it's average and not abnormal) as well as about, um, premature ejaculation. He happens to come quickly even on his own. In about a minut...

That is lovely of you to say. Indeed, it is dystopian, ha, and I wonder what to do about it. He is lovely and I would like to find a middle ground.

I have actually been direct with my concerns, asking him what he would like. But his overall tendency is to "stick head in the sand" when faced with uncomfortable topics. I have managed to get him to admit that "hugs are weird" and that my wanting to stay in touch when apart (we see each other once ...

That's a good idea regarding "affection zone." We have movie watching as that when he feels comfortable being caressed. So I will stick to that.

Dear all, So I am an NT (from a family of aspies) woman in my 20s who has begun dating similarly aged mildly AS young man. He and I get along very well--we enjoy watching movies, hanging out, cooking, joking, and have great sexual chemistry. I find him very special and we genuinely have something go...
