I know alot of people who use Apple Lossless, don't tell me that it's a small percentage.

What is Apple lossless?

An uncompressed audio codec. Basically a proprietary FLAC, so good luck getting it to play in anything other than iTunes and an iPod. Not too many people use it- I would suspect that FLAC is the dominant lossless codec.

I do have some of my music encoded in Apple Lossless, but it doesn't offer much noticeable advantage over other formats.

Going back I never realized how totally wrong I was about Windows. Particularly after setting up a 233MHz Vector Linux system with LXDE and using a 1.0GHz PIII with Ubuntu 9.10 as my main station. All of which are in most peoples eyes beige garbage computers but yet run better than their dual-cores.
