Cheapest 1920 x 1080 monitor?

In my opinion standard definition 480p shot and displayed at 120 frames per second is better than so called HD at least for fast action sports.

i'm no sports fan but i couldn't help but notice that here in america, the dynamic picture quality of sporting events broadcast on HD is mediocre at best, due to insufficient bit density, IOW as the players move about on the field you see all these transient digital compression artifacts/distortions that never were a problem with analog NTSC. i have an old philips "pixel-plus" tv gathering dust in my place [since eclipsed by my present sony] that made regular over-the-air 480i broadcasts look closer to 720p but with none of the digital distortion of real HD sportscasts.

50 pence over £80 for proper HD, does that help?

I just googled: 1920x1080 monitor, clicked on shopping, sorted low-to-high so I've no idea if it is any good or not. Then again needs vary so you be the judge.
