The three. the point, the one, and the four.

That's as far I can go.

Jeez, I'm amazed by some people's memorization! For me, numbers are one of the harder things to remember. I'd prefer to remember sets of letters or something. But my memory isn't so great.

I can't remember my phone number.

I'm sure you can do things he can't.
If I'm honest I can do the maths and memory stuff he can, to a higher level as well. I hate it when people think that just because he has a lot of publicity nobody else can do what he can. I'll bet other people on here can do stuff he can too, or even stuff he can't.

I memorized it up to roughly 500 decimal places and got bored and saw no use of it, so I stopped. I did it to see how good my memory was, and it indeed turned out to be good. The rate of my memorization, at its best, is 100 digits per 15 minutes.

I use a modified version of the method of Loci that fits my cognitive style to do this.

I have about 12 digits readily in mind usually, and get bored beyond that.

I like e as a number better, so I memorized that one at about the same length.

I don't see the point of knowing it past about 4 or 5 decimal places, in reality you can only be so precise in practice like when you take in consideration of the margin of error of machining equipment as an example. It is impressive that people can memorize it to so many decimal places though, I am just glad that if I found myself transported back to 1996/1st grade I could unlock my bike because I still remember the 5 digit code.

There's no real point to it, it's fun. There's no point to a lot of things we do but we still do themout of enjoyment :D

Mine's not particularly impressive, but I can always work on it.

Anything past the tenth decimal digit is wretched excess....
