I kinda knew that already. So I always take 1/2 hour-3 hour plus breaks from technology :)

I don't find that too much computer time makes me fatigued, but I do find that it makes me hyperactive and cranky. Maybe that is my brain telling me to take some time off, lol.

This is my downtime.

I don't have to try to guess at my computer's emotional state, or interpret its unspoken responses, or worry about what it thinks of me. It's my time to let my brain relax and deal with the merely logical. If those "researchers" can't handle that, well, that's their problem, isn't it?

Here is my selection of reasons not to sleep (for long):

  • If I sleep someone will DoS my servers (Like yesterday, and was of course a result of someone posting my IP Address to /b/)
  • I'll die
  • I'll miss important computing cycles
  • I'll sleep forever
  • O2 will find another way to rise prices
  • I won't wake up
  • HostGator's service will suck a little more
  • My body will stop all functions
  • Release time will increase
  • My bodies CPU will be in the big scrap heap in the sky
  • Something amazing will happen and I'll miss it (Like American troops getting kicked out of every country and told to stay home)
  • I will become unresponsive and suffer from more bugs than Windows Vista.

Pfft, when I sit in front of technology, people will actually pay men. Therefore, I feel no hesitation doing it for extended periods of time. :)
