I started my Toshiba laptop, Vista OS, and my desktop icons have vanished. Why? All else is OK/normal. Right now I am tired....just do not feel like investigating &/or troubleshooting.

Any ideas, IT? What happened? 8O I want my icons back, thank you.

Right click on desktop, go to view and make sure "show desktop icons," is checked.

Thanks, and I fixed the problem. Somehow this setting was unticked.....I didn't do it :)

Just so unnerving that my desktop vanished. All OK now.
