So it would be more like a video game? This isn't anything new.

I didn't know that video games responded to the emotional states of the player? That would be dope too. it's about time they did something interesting with video games again.

The idea of interactive entertainment is far from new, but this method may be fairly fresh. Still, not impressed or convinced it's a good idea.

for people like me with focus issue, the films or videos or games or whatever they are could be a useful and therapeutic form of brain training, depending on how the tech is implemented. if it sensed a high degree of sentimentality in the viewer, the tech could be a default selector of happy endings. that would apply to folk like me.

One of the programs is a meditation tool, and I imagine it's basically bio-feedback, which is now used therapeutically for such things as attention problems, as well as autism.

I doubt it. I am waiting for a dream recorder, perhaps a daydream recorder.

Based on feedback, when I am bored with the movie it will try to excite my brain centers, and that way leads to all hell breaking loose.

The shooter turns and blows away the director and the cameraman.

Rambo should have died. Like a video game he would have nine lives, and die ten times. I do not watch movies.

The human/computer interface will have to progress beyond a key board. This is a start, biofeedback has been used to flip switches, but nothing complex yet.

Now Chic Flixs are made to produce emotion and tears, turn one of them loose and who knows what will happen.

A Mood Ring that changes the world sounds dangerous, take a depressed person, wire them in, feedback loop, and a fast trip to ending it all.

We will see.

computer games have been able to sense emotion since the launch of emotiv epoch at least.
but i like this iteration of the technology and the uses it could have.
i look forward to the day when neural interfacing moves beyond one way comunication.
i want to backup my ghost.

It wouldn't be appealing for me at all, I don't like getting involved

But I fully understand why you think it would be "dope", have you seen Until the End of the World? http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0101458/

Edit: Funny how I missed that part of Inventor's post, the film I mentioned is about a dream recorder.

We are all already wired into reality, and the results are already pretty bad.

Some do, to a limited degree. Think an AI which optimise's the amount of enemies so you are never bored.
