Hey!
Long story:
I used to have this wonderful Hanns G monitor. I loved it to bits. It had dual outputs (VGA and DVI) along with a onboard speaker. Unfortunately, a few weeks ago we all want on a family holiday and my brother wasnt well at all... One of his biggest interests is gaming. Wanting to help him out, I asked him if he wanted to take his computer so he could game. He said yes, so I said Il let you take my monitor with you. So we packed everything and got there fine and we unpacked it and the screen was fine. Great! So, on the day we left we packed everything as normal. We put the monitor in the back seat in-between the 2 front seats. We had to pack in a hurry (My brother isnt well at the moment so we cant keep him waiting too long). I wrapped the monitor up in my jacket so our demented dog (You honestly have no idea
) wouldnt scratch it to death. Sounds kind of weird that my dog would do that for no reason at all right? Yes. But this is where the scratching bit comes in. My Caviller King Charles dog has extreme separation anxiety... So if you leave him in the car (Which we did to go into the local town where the cottage was on the way back), he will go insane. Jumping backwards and forth in the car and barking along with howling. Yeah..... So, he tried to use the monitor as a bridge to get to the front seat (I assume) and he must have slipped and on his way down scratched my screen. As you can imagine.... I was gutted. That screen cost me £59.... So damn cheap. Didn't last.
Short story:
So, right now my Linux box is pretty much useless. My Dell 1024x768 monitor isnt agreeing with it at all along with its terrible quality. So Im basically condemned to using my iMac. I have money, but its for a Macbook Pro (I have been saving since last November) and I cant afford to buy one right now. I will have to buy it straight after buying my Macbook Pro. I was planning to buy PS CS5 after buying my Macbook so I could start developing games.... That plan will be out of the window for a while now.
So yeah... I need a good monitor that does 1920 x 1080 res. Cheap as possible.
Anyone know of any monitors that would do the job? (I have found a few, just wondering if you guys would know of any).
Nothing above £80 if I can help it.
