Has anyone here taken the A+ Exam, 2006 version. What was it like? What kind of setting did you take it in? What things did you need to bring? And were the question difficult? I'm considering it for sometime soon, and any information from people who have taken it will help. Thanks in advance.

I haven't taken the '06 version, but I've taken it a few years back..

The questions are very basic of a technical nature (IRQ numbers, basic networking, some DOS commands, know some IT acronyms, etc.)

Only thing you need is an ID card so they know who you are and maybe a print-out of an exam confirmation (if you've scheduled the exam on-line) via Prometric.

I was in a room with one computer. The exam was monitored via camera to protect against cheating. It's not that bad, you'll never know about it (if your testing center has a camera!)

Any questions, PM Me.

I'll be taking the Network+ and Server+ certifications next week (all CompTIA.)
