Asperger's: Not Silicon Valley's Handmaid

Metaphor notice: I am using the term 'handmaid' as a metaphor, indicating a relation of subservience to another, in this case the upper management and investors (the capitalist class) of the computer industry.

Many of us, myself included, have developed great skill with computers. We can find ourselves in relatively comfortable jobs where our idiosyncrasies are tolerated. Meanwhile, the managers and investors are making billions of dollars, exploiting everyone's privacy, and funneling our talent into stupid social apps to make a quick buck. In short, we're being exploited, and society is being further rend apart by the capitalists.

For solutions, I do not know yet, but a starting point is to support Free Software, to work with only companies with socially sustainable goals, and to share the message.

And how!

I used to work as a technical writer in Silicon Valley and elsewhere. While the salaries for code engineers and others was high, it was nothing compared to the management and owners.

The Cronies and the Money Boys have us by the balls.

I am glad to be retired. Back in the Day, I used to make weapons of mass destruction.
