At least there is some peoples fearing that, with all it imply about privacy and control of information.

I can already see Apple fans, most tech pundits and even large part of the public applaud to that; so "innovative", so "beautiful" and so on...

If you own an iPhone running at least iOS 8 and Mac with at least 10.9.
You can take phone calls and text messages on your Mac.
You can do that as well on iPad and iPod Touch as long as they are all connected to the internet.

Even if you don't have an iPhone, you can still message people via iMessage on iOS and OS X as long as you create an Apple ID.

If you are worried about privacy then turn off the settings and don't link your Apple ID and number to your Mac (or other iOS devices) via iMessage.


Also you have to authorize data collection and sharing on software that does it.

The reason why Apple gave in and made the iPad Pro, was due to the fact that business people and others kept demanding Apple produce a large Pro iPad they could do their work on without lugging a laptop or desktop with them.

iPad has the software, it just lacked the screen size and stylus to meet the demands until Pro.
The  Pencil is supposed be superior to Samsung's S-Pen (which was considered the best stylus on the market) from those who have used it.

Though plenty of Android OEMs make huge tablets long before Microsoft entered the market against them.
Samsung and a few others make a tablet that is larger than Surface Pro.

As for Surface and Surface Pro, they costing Microsoft money due to low sales.
I do believe Surface sales total have yet to hit 1M total.
Surface doesn't get updates on time with Windows PCs, for some strange reason.

Windows tablets as a whole are still struggling to gain sales traction.

Pretty much any platform you look at with the plausible exceptions of Symbian & Blackberry devices has tons of applications for this because clearly, it's much nicer to use your keyboard of choice in terms of physical hardware as opposed to experimental predictive input on a pocketbook-sized touchscreen. I use AirDroid because it scans 1 QR authentication hash and immediately connects my $50 Galaxy SIII to any machine I've installed the Chrome app launcher on, no matter about Windows/Mac/Linux - it just runs. As a developer I'm severely disappointed about the options for display mirroring on mobile devices. I'm just buying a Note II for the cheap LTE and Wacom Stylus. If & when I need to work with iOS it'll be an iMac & iPad mini. Wacom is industry standard and moreso than any OS could claim to be. Let me see you map six modifier keys between a CGI & GIS joined packet workflow on that iPad...

Lulz, essentially Apple started the 'Pro' iPad line because people wanted the same iffy product from a brand they like more, with less ports and a cheaper CPU this time. BTW honestly I've heard nice things about the N-Trig pen displays in Surface Pros & VAIO tablets.

Actually Samsung Galaxy large tablets with S-pen out review all other non Apple Brands and reviews similar to iPads.
Though Samsung software and Touchwiz is god awful for the most part.

There is nothing iffy about any of Apple products, they just aren't for people who want to customize their hardware and software down to the smallest detail.

Try to buy a PC laptop with at least 512MB dedicated graphics card, with a decent screen, iCore 7 processors, 8GBs of RAM, and decent 500GBs HDD that $1,800 or less isn't possible unless on sale (I've actually looked for them).
Which is funny because that is how much I bought my Late 2011 Macbook Pro with student discount.
Ironically it runs Windows better than any other computer I've owned and used.

Hell 5k iMacs are cheaper than buying all the necessary components from other PC vendors and a 5k monitor costs you more (oh you have to pay for Window 10 license too).

Dell comes to the closest at ~$3,000 for full 4k, 5k iMac costs $2,500.

Apple makes good quality products that seamlessly work with each other.
I have no major complaint about my Apple products.

I mean you can buy Android tablets for sub $50 at many retailers, which now making up the majority of the world tablet sales.

Though I do know people who use Surface Pros, complain about how they have many decent issues running full Windows on it and any program that needs decent graphics.


But Microsoft is bleeding money on the Surface line.
Also don't get attached to VAIO since Sony sold it to a Japanese investment firm who is hell bent on making it profitable brand.
Sony lost billions on VAIO Brand, because consumers decided on buying cheaper alternatives.
Wacom on the other hand have seen it's market share drop year after year since 2008, due to the expansion of Android tablets.
