Storing digital data on glass disks

Just thought I would share the information:

There is a problem with the information on how long it would exist though. Glass is technically a very slow moving liquid, even though we consider it a "solid". Over time (thousands of years), it would likely shift the dots enough that the data would not be recoverable base upon the parameters in the article. They would extend data storage lifetimes, just not by billions of years.
