Uploading to youtube cuts out my internet?
For what seems like years now if Im uploading or download something large, my whole wireless network just cuts out. I'm trying to have fun uploading videos to YouTube creating a channel and their pretty big but in the process this cuts out everyone's connections on their devices. Its happened on every computer I've owned when trying to upload or download big stuff. Now everyone's getting really annoyed about it. The only work around is to do it when no one's here or asleep but even then my brothers on it all the time and it cuts out me using the internet in the process.
I've tried doing many things and technicians have came round to try and fix it and we've changed to fibre broadband but its STILL happening. Lately I've tried using a Virtual Machine with a VPN and tried to upload there but the same s***** issue occurs. The weird thing though it dosen't always happen, but mostly does.
Anyone know about this issue and how can it be fixed? Its gone on for so long.

There are an amazing number of home wireless routers that cannot handle the full bandwidth they are rated for. They either excessively drop packets until there are as many resend requests as good packets ...or they simply overheat. Because a $0.05 USD heatsink would be too much to ask for, apparently. There have also been a surprising number of really buggy designs, such as those that are dual band but relegate one band to the mCPU's USB bus because the second band was never more than a marketing tool to the company, I guess. Problem is, when it gets hung up so does the primary band. And so on...

Forgot to mention how to resolve the problem. I've had several such consumer level routers, by Netgear, Cisco and D-Link in the last four or five years. All exhibited the problem, as all used the same narrow range of SOC's or CPU's & radio chipsets. All turned out to be adequate or better once I added Raspberry-Pi style heat sinks to the CPU & radio as well as extra venting, plus a third party firmware such as Tomato. Also, if you are in a bind and need to upload, there's always copper cable and you'll probably save a huge amount of time.
The only ones I've been completely happy with were above the consumer level, picked up cheap when corporations replace their entire wireless infrastructure. They do have to be converted to controller-less/central-management-less operation by tracking down the correct firmware. In my tests, a seven year old 802.11n corporate grade AP easily outperforms a current year consumer grade 802.11ac when there is anything other than a trivial load and the client is not in the same room. Add multiple clients and there is no comparison at all.
