You dont have to buy a new copy for each re-install. They only want you to possess a license for each seperate machine i think.
Windows is only about 700Mb, so not such a big d/l expenditure. If you goto a good bittorrent community like demonoid, you can check peoples comments to see if it worked for them and if they detected any viruses.
