Fixing My Laptop, My Phone and My Ear
A while back, I remember getting an earache, the kind that made my ear too tender on the inside. I wasn't too sure what was causing it, since the only major thing I was doing with my ears was listening to stuff online with my headphones. Then it hit me: the problem WAS with my headphones.
After some experimentation, I discovered that one earbud didn't work as well as the other earbud. While I do have back-up headphones, I only want to use them when my old ones stop working entirely, so I decided to fiddle with the settings of my cell phone and laptop. After altering the sound balance settings in all my tech, I could hear the audio much more clearly and evenly. The best part is that I don't have to redo the whole process every time I restart any of my machines.
So, why am I mentioning all of this, several months after it all happened? Because I don't believe I'm the only one that could have had this issue. By making this post, I'm hoping other people on Wrong Planet and other parts of the internet can overcome the same problem I once had. I'd include a step-by-step process about how I did it all, but not only do other people have different devices from me, but such advice might not be useful enough for people that get more advanced tech a few months from now. With that said, what do you think about my conundrum, and have you or someone you've known about dealt with a similar issue?
