Cool , someday our forum may be used with a mind interface rather then a key board. but kinda freaky as well.

That would be a great thing in the future, there is even a name for
such a thing, Wetware, or a brain - computer interface. I wouldn't
want to try such a thing on a windoz based computer that we have
today, since the technology is to rudimentary and primitive to process
anything our brains can put out, I think maybe in 20 or 30 years it
maybe possible, but it could be alot sooner given the way technology
makes leaps forward.

i have heard that this type of interface is used by quadreplegics to control their computers and powerchairs. it works by brain waves detected by sensors that are attached to the person's head or an implant

the problem would be that if its an implant and being that many of my dreams are that im watching youtube, i might keep my dad awake with the computer screen shining or the volume of the pc playing my fav songs over and over and over lolol

You missed the "page". I changed avatar when I decided to go on a ram/page - against anyone I caught being a bully on WP. So... maybe I am chewing my nails, with worry, about how unpopular it might make me. If I am doing that, then I've already chewed them down to the second joint!

(Mind you, maybe that's a good start - there will be lots of nerve endings conveniently exposed, to fit my cyborg interfaces to.)

when the EmotivEPOC head set is released this year,will be able to play games with mind control.
it has had that many delays,and was originally being made for all formats,now it seems only pc?
one of the other residents here has severe CP with limited movement and can only play games that can use a steering wheel,he should be able to choose any game he wants like the able bodied can,though now its not being made for the xbox anymore.

it is good technology,it would be good to see what happens if zone out during using it.

I like the idea of thoughts controlling the computer... but where does it end?

I mean, if this machine can interface with your mind, isn't a logical conclusion that eventually, it could go both ways? A computer inside a human brain... both awesome and scary.
