I took a shining to Agent Doggett later on as I found Mulder increasingly irritating - the romance with Scully made me cringe at times. Doggett was tough and no-nonsense - punching Krycek as he drove away in his car was funny as hell - while Mulder got inceasingly annoying. I should add I enjoyed Mulder in the earlier seasons though.

Of course you can't really have one without the other, but I'm just curious as to who everyone prefers.

*Skinner's a tough cookie too...Yeah I know the programme is only make-believe...or is it?*

Thanks.

Mulder no doubt. Doggett is no slouch though. He has proven himself many times and sacrificed alot in the end.

I thought this thread was going to die. Thank you for keeping it going.

To add something to this debate I'll show you their mugs, from there you can get a pretty good idea who eats raw eggs for breakfast, and who eats scrambled (p**** FOOD!):

"All right partner, let's keep rolling baby, you know what time it is"

"If I say f**k two more times, that's forty six fuck-s in this fuck-ed up rhyme...man I'm so rugged"

I try not to be bias but it was hard to find pictures of Mulder looking tough. I had to sift through a lot of sex symbol babble and pictures of him in pink clothing and looking fairly camp.

I cannot help but think T2 while watching XFiles. Throws me off.
I miss the xFiles, but Supernatural helps fill the void.

Mulder. F - T2 man. Doggert or whatever the hell his name is. The show was supreme with Mulder and Scully, it certainly went down the tubes fast once David Duchovny left. Part of what made the pairing so appealing between Mulder and Scully WAS that unspoken attraction between the two. Mulder with his faith and theories, Scully with her facts and hard science. It was yin-yang. Once Mulder left the show, the other guy took up Scully's traits and she became the 'believer'. all in all it totally lost my interest once he left the show.

OLD SChooL X-Files!! !!

Hooray!! !

Ooh, as a die-hard X-Phile who saw the show through till the very end, that's a toughy.

I'd have to vote for both Mulder and Doggett. Mulder for his willingness to always believe and shake the ground. And Doggett for his rationality and noble nature. In some ways, they're so different they're almost incomparable.

When David was taking his break and essentially leaving X-Files, I thought life was over. But I really started to like Agent Doggett after awhile. He definitely grew to be part of the X-Files family. :)
