The Fountain has been the movie I've most recently been obsessed with not only because of it's music but because of it's complexity, symbolism, and morals. I especially love how it's primary moral "Immortality is acchieved through death" can apply to almost all religions as well as Atheism and Agnosticism. The Fountain is the only puzzle movie I've seen. By that, I mean that the movie is one big puzzle for you to dwell upon. It takes intense thought or multiple to fully understand the thing, and even then, you may not be right. It greatly angers me that this film was hounded by critics who couldn't understand the film at all or who were to close-minded for the film to have registered with them. I believe the director said "It was a movie about death. And who wants to pay to go see a meditation on death?"
Here are my favorite scenes from the movie all in chronological order.
How strange that the Mayans chose a dying star as their underworld.

The final ten minutes are absolutely amazing. Even if you haven't seen the film, I don't think these scenes would spoil much because they are very confusing and won't seem to make much sense unless you've seen the film.
