I´ve never watched the original series but the new trailler look pretty cool. My cousin who is in his 30s was a big fan of the series.

EDIT: found another way to watch the trailer. Very apprehensive about it, to be honest... I really hope they don't screw it up and ruin all my childhood memories.

I just got done watching it.

It looks surprisingly entertaining, except for the fact that they don't have Mr.T as B.A. Baracus again. The actor they got playing him doesn't seem to have the same kind of magic that Mr.T has.

And c'mon, how the heck can you make a good A-Team movie without Mr.T?

I just hope they're better marksmen. The guys on the TV show couldn't hit any of the bad guys they shot at!

Of course, I'd still like to know how someone who's scared of flying (B.A.) could get into Special Forces as one of the requirements is to be able to jump out of a plane. But that's just me.

This is Wedge again, speaking to the brave and the bold. It seems that we got a new A-Team movie trailer and this one seems better than the first! Oh it was so funny B.A. won´t get in the plane, and they say "they are the best and they specialize in the ridiculous!". Oh, I can´t wait to see this movie!

Smart thinking on the casting director's part.

The trailers give away practically everything.

The A-Team's most recognisable star, who played BA Baracus, laments adaptation's neglect of 'fun and family entertainment'


Mr T pities the fools who turned The A-Team into a movie filled with sex and violence. The 58-year-old actor, famous for his role as eccentric sergeant BA "Bad Attitude" Baracus in the popular 1980s TV show, has laid into the big-screen adaptation from director Joe Carnahan after attending a test screening. Where the original version was reasonably light fare, the new film ventured into far more adult territory, he said.

"People die in the film and there's plenty of sex but when we did it, no one got hurt and it was all played for fun and family entertainment," Mr T said."These seem to be elements nobody is interested in anymore. It was too graphic for me. I've no doubt it will do big business at the box office but it's nothing like the show we turned out every week."

The original A-Team, which ran from 1983 to 1986, centred on a group of Vietnam veterans who work as "soldiers of fortune" while on the run from the US military after being convicted of a crime they did not commit. Carnahan's movie transfers the action to the modern day and makes the men Iraq war veterans. It stars Liam Neeson as Colonel John "Hannibal" Smith, Bradley Cooper as Lieutenant Templeton "Faceman" Peck, Sharlto Copley as Captain HM "Howling Mad" Murdock and ultimate fighting star Quinton "Rampage" Jackson in Mr T's former role as Baracus.

Both Dwight Schultz, who played Murdock, and Dirk Benedict, formerly Faceman, are reported to have filmed cameos for the movie, which will be released this Friday in the US and on 30 July in the UK. However, Mr T apparently refused to make an appearance. George Peppard, who played Hannibal, died in 1994.

Mr T's misgivings are in line with the original TV show's refusal to show anyone dying on screen, which some consider one of its most amusingly silly traits.

Opens tonight--but I can't go yet because I'm ill. My bf and I have been looking forward to this for months--hopefully we can make it next week.

Yes I noticed that! You know aspie = attention to details.

Maybe I will watch it with my "occupational therapist" today. I´m somehow depressed and can´t go out unaccompanied.

I just got back from watching it, it was wonderfully cheesy (they definitely didn't take themselves seriously, which would have made it crap), and by today's standards, it isn't that violent at all (people got shot, but you didn't see any blood). Murdock was hilarious, him alone made the whole movie worth it to me.

No it is not on DVD yet. It is only on the movies. It started playing on the movies last week.
