The Simpsons used to be my favorite TV show. Now I'm into Adventure Time, Regular Show and the anime Black Butler

You can take the Simpsons and stick them where the sun doesn't shine. The few times I watched this piece of garbage reminded me way too much of my home life growing up.

I used to watch the show in its first few seasons, but haven't been a regular fan in at least 15 years. I did recently buy a book though, that my pastor once used as inspiration for one of his messages. Its called "The Gospel According to The Simpsons", by Mark I. Pinsky. :)

I like em but I liked em more as a kid & teen I think because they were fresher then & TV in general has gotten more offensive & liberal; think other Fox Sunday primetime shows like Family Guy & American Dad. True they're very different shows but their humor is more offensive & they push the envelope more than the Simpsons

The Simpsons is my favorite television show. i get a new DVD season every year from mama.

Simpsons pre-Season 9, I love. There're a few okay-ish ones Season 10, but anything after that (including the HD period we're in now)... blergh...

While I still watch it every Sunday night as I have since I was a child, the show isn't nearly as good as it was the first 9 seasons or so. I'm trying to get my mother to watch classic Simpsons as I'm sure she can relate to Marge oh so much and my father can relate to "early" Homer too. Even being male I could relate to Lisa oh so much! I used to be obsessed to the point I could recite line for line the first 7 seasons. That annoyed the kids at school that's for sure!

I should mention that I assumed Simpsons fans were generally younger than me. When I went to see the Simpsons movie, it was sold out and 90% of the audience was over 40! There were a large number of Seniors there too!

You're not wrong in what you say. But in recent years both shows seem to cater more towards a "born in the 80s, raised in the 90s demographic" and slightly later than that. Not necessarily a bad thing per se, but there does seem to be more reliance on pop culture than plot... (for the Simpsons I mean - can we say That 90s Show episode?; Family Guy have always used pop references rather heavily)...

Never seen Black Butler, but I like the other two.

Space Dandy is a good anime.
