Whose Streets?

If you only got the media shorthand of the events following the shooting of Michael Brown in Ferguson, MO, this film will have lots of surprises as the scenes look different when viewed from different angles. It's stark, and a very important documentary.

Suburban Wives (1972)

An obscure exploitation film with a dubious storyline. Jane Cardew was a hell of a looker, it has to be said. The print of this release was appalling by the way.

How did you like it?

It was good. I wish it had more action in it though.

If interested, a similar live-action Disney film is in production about a grown-up Christopher Robin who is taken back to the Hundred-Acre Woods. Ewan McGregor stars as Christopher Robin.

Not bad for a Roger Moore Bond. Great visuals, though.

Nothing But The Night (1973)

I had fairly high hopes for this initially. It has an interesting cast, including Peter Cushing,Christopher Lee, Diana Dors and Georgia Brown, and is some kind of mystery thriller. It's certainly mysterious, to the extent that I didn't really know what it had all been about by the time it ended, but thrilling it ain't.

The Diana Dors character drove a Hillman Minx estate car with a weird cat's face on the back, and a registration plate 304 ELK. That was one of the most memorable bits of the film. Seriously.

It Comes At Night.

Grim psychological horror film taking place after some incurable plague has decimated the human population. One family out in the woods with water and a house allow another family with food and animals to live with them. Eventually, paranoia and the actual illness turn both families violently against each other. Very good flick.
