Naked Lunch.

The Cronnenberg classic of the fictionalized account of the hallucinogenic writing of the William Burroughs novel, Naked Lunch. Addict and repressed homosexual, William Lee, sort of accidentally shoots his wife on purpose, then goes on a drug spree -- and finds himself writing reports for a shadowy intelligence agency while hiding out in the sinister North African port of Interzone, inhabited bey reptilian aliens, insectoid typewriters, gay prostitutes, and expatriate American writers, which are really chapters of the book Naked Lunch.
This bizarre little film is my wife's Christmas present to me, for which I am eternally grateful.

I'm not such a fan of the book or author, but I love this movie. Cronenberg seems very forgotten these days. I recommend Cronenberg on Cronenberg, if you haven't read it.

last anybody's heard of her was way back in 2003, when she would have been 63 years old.
