Went a little nutz this week - saw Black Panther one day, and Wrinkle in Time the next day.

Enjoyed both hugely. Very, very different films obviously.

Loved loved loved the morphing fonts that announced scene changes in BP. That just seemed to carry the theme of Afrofuturist tech so well! (Typical Aspie. Nobody IRL with whom I've spoken even noticed that.)

And I will be going nutz every week now if I can, because the theater has early matinees, arthouse seating, good soundproofing, and recliners. Yeeeeehah. (Edit in: and Old Poot Discounts, although they don't use that terminology :-) )

The Flintstones in Viva Rock Vegas. Probably has the worst VFX of any film I've seen from the year 2000. Did we really need a live-action Great Gazoo? Songs are really bad as well.

The shape of water, I was really surprised how good it was. It has a bit of everything in it Drama, thriller, love story, comedy and even a bit of spy stuff, enjoy.

I watched this again last night. I think it needs to be significantly longer than it is - it feels like they leave out half the story and rush through the rest. Still delightfully creepy and quite interesting, though, I think.

Justice League.

Already saw it, already wrote a post about it. Still, it's a decent superhero flick.
