Just saw the independent movie Win Win.

Great performance by Paul Giamatti as a lawyer/high school wrestling coach.

Amy Ryan {who I will admit I have a crush on} co-starts as his hardass, but caring wife.
Bobby Cannavale is hilarious as is Jeffrey Tambor.

Wasn't that scary. The ending made me mad. Overall...I give it a 4/10. bleh

I saw the trailer and it reminded me of Andrei Tarkovsky's work, so I bought it on BluRay. Turns out the film is dedicated to and inspired by him.

I saw Prince of Persia: The Sands of Time at the weekend. It was truly awful.

I'm going to watch Princess Mononoke at 7.20, I've just noticed it's on Film4+1

I just saw Hanna, the new movie by director Joe Wright.

Somewhat sad ending...but think of a Disney princess meets Jason Bourne
and you will have an idea of what Hanna is like.

Well worth the ticket.

Today I watched Jackie Chan's Dragon Lord and Island of Fire. I also watched Alejandro Jodorowsky's El Topo. I highly recommend all three of these films. Last week I watched The Howling 1 through 7. Clive Turner is a nut!

We just watched Casino Jack this evening, about king-o'-the sleaze bags, Jack Abramoff, starring Kevin Spacey. Great movie - funny and infuriating at the same time.

I watched the new documentary on Bill Hicks earlier. Well done, and a nice look into the personal life of an angry kid who grew up to be an angry, but enlightened social guru. Wish he was here today. I can imagine what he'd have to say about the state of the world.
