Jim Henson's Dinosaurs

I remember enjoying this show as a kid, though I probably didn't really "get" it. (On a similar note, I started watching The Simpsons very early on, but it took me quite some time to figure out what really made the show great.) This does seem like the type of quirky show I'd enjoy, so I may check out the DVD set.

Just wondering, did Jim Henson himself have anything to do with the creation of this show? I know it debuted after his death.

Oh, and I do remember "Not the mama!"

It was Jim Henson's design company that created the animatronics and the suits for the characters. I think Henson may have envisioned the show, not sure though.

I'm a HUGE JIM HENSON FAN! #1 in my interests.

Dinosaurs was pretty good.

What I enjoyed more about the show wasn't so such the Sinclair family but the animatronic hand puppets that they had on the TV. I really Loved Lizard Skizard and Mr. Lizard.

My earliest memory dates back to a time when McDonald's did a promo on Dinosaurs. I loved that show.
