"Remasterd" means raped to me. They changed the crocodiles on the Lion King DVD and when Simba and Nala are going down the waterfall in Can You feel the love tonight, they changed the sky from pink to orange. The sky is SUPPOSED to be pink. I'm seriously considering getting a VHS of Lion King and having it put on a disk. When people go and screw up my special intrests, I get nasty.

I hate having to rewind them and stuff, so no.

You can watch one episode on VHS cassette, then take it out of the machine and watch any number of other tapes. When you get your original tape back off the shelf, it is still ready to play the next episode, exactly as you left it.

My DVD machine can only remember the position of one disk. There is no technical reason it couldn't store where I stopped every disk that I have not watched through, to resume where I last stopped.

Tape also degrades gracefully with increasing noise and distortion, whereas DVDs just die.

(really though, I transferred all my tapes to DVD, and then to hard disk, long ago).

Only if it is a film that hasn't been released on DVD, like Jean-Luc Godard's King Lear.

Which King Lear? The black and white one where they spoke Russian? If so, that one was excellent.
