Borat: All the jokes made at the expense of Jewish people made me feel uncomfortable. And, as previously mentioned, the nude wrestling scene was disgusting.

The guy who plays Borat is Jewish, and he says he is inspired by the quote: "The road to the holocaust was paved with indifference"

So no need to feel uncomfortable, it's a subtle type of social commentary.

That film isn't really offensive at all - I really like it and it makes some powerful and worthwhile statements. It's one of my favourite films. Nothing really offensive about the themes of the film and I believe that it was a travesty that Kubrick pulled the film from UK distribution for so long, leaving imported VHS tapes as being the only way for film fans to see the movie.

Something like the 'death' mondo films or extreme Japanese torture films are entirely different though.

I fuggin' love The Human Centipede! And A Clockwork Orange (though I think the book, with the restored final chapter is necessary for the full experience) and Requiem for a Dream. I wouldn't call Requiem for a Dream offensive, but it is very depressive and harrowing. Really examines some of the pitfalls of our society and the endless misfortune they can lead to. A little like Trainspotting, but without a single ray of hope anywhere at any time.

If anyone wants to try a deeply disturbing one, check out Guinea Pig : Flower of Flesh and Blood. Without giving too much away, I'll say this: It is very realistic, very gory, and with some morbid, demented spoken parts by an insane Samurai helmeted killer/gardener who had a beautiful woman captured so he could slowly dissect her in what he saw as an act of passionate art. At one point Charlie Sheen had found an unlabeled copy of this film and completely freaked out so much that he sent it to the police because he thought it was a snuff film. During investigation, the people responsible for the film ended up having to show the FBI exactly how it was made before they finally left them alone. And yeah... every time I see Charlie Sheen I have to laugh about that whole situation.

Sex And the City. I feel like throwing up every time I hear the theme.

I love A Clockwork Orange. It's awesome. I love the fact that the main character's name is Alex, because Alex is my name as well.

Me too! I dressed up as a droog/Alex/I don't know for Halloween one year. It was a lot of fun. 8)

to me personally i think the trailer for human centipede was so much worse then what the movie was. all that happening in a like a minute and a half trailer was what go me, its just alot to process at once and thats what works people up. but spread over an hour and a half there is alot of lead up to little gratification.

poop scene was intense though

Ever seen the end of Pink Flamingos? That has to be the icing on the cake.

I have friends who are bi and gay, and so I've found myself watching movies of the LGBT variety. After watching Pink Flamingos, which of course would fit in that criteria, I told one of my said friends about it. His response was, "If I never see that movie, it'll be too soon."

john waters tries so damned hard to be perverse and revolting, that it comes out hilariously instead. he pushes past obnoxiousness into the far side of humor.
