I admit I watch way too much TV. But I like to think I'm selective about what I watch, and what I don't watch. Shows I do patronize are:

CNN
MSNBC
Madmen
Breaking Bad
The Walking Dead
The Big Bang Theory
WWE wrestling
The Venture Bros.
Family Guy
Fringe

There are certainly other shows I watch, but these are among the ones I simply can not do without.

How could I have forgotten The Daily Show, and The Colbert Report?

I pretty much don't watch TV unless I'm at my friend's house, or it's something like once a year (ie, my mom told me there was an ice skating show on TV.) I'll probably be watching the Olympics, too, specifically the weightlifting (I hope Lydia Valentin wins ladies 75KG class.) I more or less stopped watching television I think late 2010. I like Top Gear, and I'd still watch it, but I just am too busy/apathetic to turn on my TV.

Back when I used to watch TV, I watched mostly BBC America, History/Discovery Channel, and G4. G4 got really lame, though, and just turned into 8 hour Cops marathons everyday. History Channel did the same, and it became sorta just A&E, and now it's filled with silly shows like Pawn Stars and people shooting stuff. History International was better, but yeah.

My favorite TV network circa 2008 was the AZN channel, but it got canceled. I loved the AZN channel, perfect hikikomori programming schedule. All the good stuff was on at like 3AM, and then during the day, infomercials. But AZN channel was just the BEST channel ever, great anime like Patlabor, Animation Runner Kuromi, great movies like Initial D, Kamikaze Girls, Beijing Bicycle, and also, I discovered two wonderful dramas on there, Mars, and My Lovely Sam Soon. But after AZN channel died, TV went way down hill for me.

So yeah, one day, my TV broke in my room. And I just didn't watch TV anymore. I just was like "oh well, screw it." And that was the end of me caring about TV. I mostly used to watch it at night anyway, and it turned out better to just keep my room dark and listen to music to get to bed.

But yeah, I pretty much don't watch anything anymore.

EDIT: I forgot about the Travel Channel. That seems to be the last channel around that's like, tolerable to me. I love watching Andrew Zimmerman and Bourdain, but all the rest of their shows I find pretty educational and fun for the most part. Except the stupid Ghost Hunter shows.

I don't have a specific show that I watch, but one show that I watch is Man vs Food. The host goes to places and basically eats... a lot! * It's very helpful for me. I now know what not to eat. * The other show is House Hunters.

Some of the things I'm currently watching:

My Little Pony: Friendship is Magic - unfortunately, still waiting for the third season.
Workaholics - great show. Relevant to my interests.
Live political debates on a digital public television channel - always fun to cheer. Football matches for even bigger jerks. I occasionally find myself cheering for Geert Wilders, because he's better at entertainment than any other politician.

He hates violent, stupid and arrogant muslims, and he has an appealing way of putting it. He's our national comic relief, and he's right about the main issues he addresses (the European Union is merde and we need to stop bowing to immigrant street culture). I wish Pim Fortuyn was still alive, though - Geert Wilders is a class clown among bitter liberals; Pim Fortuyn was a national hero in terms of comedy. I was a bit upset when he was murdered.

It is Kharijites like Bin Laden who are violent, not proper Muslims. I suggest you buy Tahir Ul Qadri,s Fatwa on Terrorism and it proves that terrorism is completly against Islam.

I watch the history shows on pay t.v. History Channel, Military Channel.

I watch the scientific documentaries starting with PBS Nova, then the Science Channel documentary line up.

I do not watch sit-coms but I do watch some of the continue episode broadcasts such as Rome, The Game of Thrones, Heartland, Sleeper Cell, Dexter and such like.

What I do is record those programs I like which have commercial breaks, so I can quickly skip over them when I watch.

I used to watch the History Channel religiously, but since they started playing crap like Ancient Aliens, or reality TV shows like Swamp People, or Ice Road Truckers which have nothing to do with history, I started tuning out.

I like Ancient Aliens (and with the word "ancient" in the title, it does deal with history). I like Giorgio Tsoukalos's hairl.

It isn't so much terrorism against the West that bothers me in radical Islam, it's the way they treat their own people. People whine and cry about how oppressive Christianity is in dealing with women and the LGBT community, but compared to countries like Saudi Arabia and Iran, and the Taliban, Christianity is very progressive.
