Well this is more a tv actress but she has been in the Stargate movies too- Amanda Tapping is my all time favourite actress and has been for years. I got so obsessed with the stargate series I have watched every single episode of every single season of all three Stargate shows and was devasted when Stargate Universe ended especially at a cliff hanger. After that I started watching Santuary, watched all those ones, then I been watch Star Trek and getting obsessed with that. I love scifi.

Which one? Both versions of Lisbeth were pretty kick-ass.

Ellen Ripley > All. She beats the pants off all the other choices, everyone including me in this thread, or dies trying.

Where do I begin? My favorite is probably Edna Mode from "The Incredibles", but I also love Peg from "Lady and the Tramp", Lady Kluck from "Robin Hood", Meg from "Hercules", Agent K from "The Replacements", Yzma and Yatta from "The Emperor's New School", Terk from "Tarzan", the list goes on and on. One overrated one is, in my opinion, Dory from "Finding Nemo". I guess I'm just not a die-hard Ellen DeGeneres fan like everyone else.

I picked "other" since there wasn;t a multiple choice option. I still enjoy classic characters like Dorothy Gale, Sarah Connor, Princess Leia, and Mary Poppins, but there's so many more great ones too. My favorite of the MCU films so far is the first "Captain America", and Hayley Atwell was fantastic for Peggy Carter. I also like all of Lea Thompson's variations of Lorraine in the "Back to the Future" series, plus Samantha Mathis in "Broken Arrow". Scarlett Johansson is a remarkable Black Widow, and I actually preferred Katie Holmes over Maggie Gyllenhaal as Rachel Dawes.

Dolores Umbridge.

Yep. Umbridge. I actually hate the character. I haven't read the HP books, but I was dragged to the movie. I have never hated a character more than her. I found a tumblr post that summed it up quite well when comparing Voldemort with Umbridge. Voldemort is the enemy you never want to face, and Umbridge is the villain that we all face everyday. So how come I hate her and I like her at the same time. I hate her so much because of how the character was done, and that's why I like the character. I'd never like her in real life, but I see how she was so well done for what she was needed to do in the story that I can't help but like her for being that good at being bad and evoking this amount of feeling from me. Rowling, Yates, and Goldenberg did a good job.

Before Umbridge, it was Asuka from NGE. It was for the same reason. I hated her, and because I could actually feel emotion about her, and thus I liked the character for allowing me to do this. There are few if any characters I can emote about.

The WP software only supports 20 options in polls.

One option needs to be the "Other" option for completeness, and another definitely has to be the "Silly" option (Ms. Doubtfire in this case) for the lulz.

That leaves 18 options.

It would be odd *not* to include female actors from very popular franchises involving multiple movies* (Hermione, Ripley, Hit-Girl, Sarah Connor, Leia, Trinity, Beatrix Kiddo, Clarice Starling) on the list, so that only leaves 10 spots for the remainder of all cinema of all time.

As such, a cruel and bloody selection had to be made... Beatrix Kiddo took care of the "bloody" part.

....

*Except Twilight. Sorry, Bella Swan... but sparkling vampires?
