Good or bad taste?

George Clooney and the "bat-nipples." I rewatched it a while ago and I never realized it was that bad.

Keaton had an aura of mysteriousness about him, Bale captured the animalistic side of Batman.

A gay friend refers to the movie as the "homoerotic Batman." He isn't being complimentary, either.

You are aware that the late BOB KANE said that he thought out of Keaton and clooney that val kilmer was the best to play batman right?

That's HIS opinion, Jamesy. Times have changed, Christopher Nolan breathed new life into Batman by stripping away the campness, the neon lighting, the homoerotic undertones, the kiddy elements and the ridiculous puns, and replacing them with a hefty dose of realism, a decent cast, and a series of films that take notes from the classic tales like The Long Halloween and Knightfall.
Bale > Kilmer

Yeah he never lived to see bale as batman.
Do you think Ben affleck will be better than bale Lexington?
On a side note You do say times have changed... Well dark knight and begins came out nearly 10 years ago so times have also changed from Nolan's as well as the 90s batman movies. However Nolan's will go down in history as being superior. Not superior to Tim burtons bat films but Joel's for sure.

Affleck remains to be seen if he can deliver. It's a long wait till 2016, so who knows? For now, it's best to make do with the final game in the Arkham trilogy, Arkham Knight.

If they did a batman reboot in 2014 as opposed to 2005 do you think it would be different to the Nolan's films? You know cause of changing times etc....

Christ, that's a tough one....... I think it would be different, but let's just wait and see if Affleck does deliver.
