I'm excited about episode three! This must mean that Jupiter will be in episode five, and Venus in episode six! I just can't wait! Not to mention the new merchandise coming out this fall!

Just watched episode 3 and... hmm... maybe I'll wait for the DVD to come out before I watch this series... too many animation error/shortcuts kept distracting me from what's going on and I don't think I'm keen on Rina Satou's Mars voice (though, granted, it's not entirely her fault - Toei are sticking much more closely to the manga version of Rei Hino who was far quieter and less argumentative than the 90s anime incarnation was).

I gotta go see the 3rd ep soon; but in the meantime, I've changed my avvy, sig and title.

I hope that Rei is more like in the comics than she was in the 90s anime.

You need not worry - This incarnation of Rei Hino is the complete opposite of her anime counterpart; far more quiet and reserved unless riled into battle.

While we have a moment......... a Q to all the Sailor Moon fans here: Who's your fave senshi, and why?

I have been watching the reboot too, I did not really watch it when I was a kid, so it is mostly new to me, except from watching the abridged version.

My favorite senshi...hm...I'd have to say Jupiter. I like the colors she wears, plus Jupiter is my favorite planet. Then, at least, in the one picture she's paired with Nephrite. I was half hoping they would do those pairings, although I knew they weren't doing that. Still...just like in the manga, one of my most favorite scenes is where Jadeite sees Rei. I don't get if Serenity could have 'purified' the stones with the amazon quartet, why couldn't she have done the same for them? Ah, well, maybe in another universe.

What do you think about Sailor Cosmos? It makes me sad to think she could really the future Sailor Moon. That would mean she would have lost her friends fighting against Sailor Chaos during the Sailor Wars. Who Sailor Cosmos is is something I've pondered for a really long time. What are your thoughts?

One thing I've thought is perhaps Sailor Cosmos and Sailor Chaos are like that neither can exist without the other. Perhaps they must re-merge and end before starting again from scratch. Like a cycle. It goes back to where it started and starts anew. Still, that's just something I've come up with. Anyone come up with different ideas?

Who's ready for the next episode Saturday?

I've been ready for two weeks.

Kind of says something about how much Toei care about Sailor Moon Crystal the anime (not the associated merchandise), if episode 5 won't be airing until 6th September... just saying...

How was ep 4? The series is going on a two-week hiatus, and I will be at KumoriCon at this time next week, so.....

Well, the Sailor Moon summer is over, and it's now a Sailor Moon autumn and winter.

What did you think about this Sat's episode. You have to admit they did a good job in those scenes with Mamoru. I read that they are actually doing the senshi/shitenou pairings here. This is too good. I always wanted to see that! I can't wait! Not only that they are doing these pairings, but developing the four kings more. I've always liked those characters.

It's good that they're more faithful to the comics, but I like seeing the surprises here and there. Keeps one's interest.

I like that the show has it's own visual style and that from a story standpoint it's based on the manga yet also is going it's own direction. All this makes the series truly unique which IMO is more worthwhile.
