@ Walrus: Given the studio politics in Hollywood, I doubt an X-Men/Avengers crossover movie will actually happen. That's just my opinion, but would you be OK seeing a Guardians Of The Galaxy/Avengers crossover movie?

As for Sony's plans for more Spider-Man movies, they have two spin off movies in development. One will be centered around Venom and the other centered around The Sinister 6. The third movie in the Spider-Man reboot series won't be due until 2018, but The Amazing Spider-Man 3 is supposed to be centered around Peter coping with the loss of Gwen, along with Rhino making a return.

You are right about the studio politics, but if Marvel had the rights to the X Men then it would definitely be on the cards.

I would definitely like to see a crossover of sorts, I just don't know how it would work. Maybe I'd like to see Thanos utterly crush the Guardians in GOTG2 but Quill spared and sent to Earth as part of Thanos' Xanatos gambit to court Death? Or maybe a Planet Hulk film?

I think there would be problems with cast size and character similarities (Quill and Stark are very similar, with similar superpowers, Gamora is a lot like BW, Drax and Hulk...), and I think the general tone of the teams would clash (the Guardians have a more comedic tone), but I wouldn't be opposed to a straight up crossover with someone good at the helm. Ideally Whedon.


Yep, it sounds more intriguing than the last trilogy (though you're forgetting the "female-led" film).

If you want a Planet Hulk film, there's an animated version of it that Lionsgate did a few years ago that's pretty good. I think you can find it on Netflix, but they gave Silver Surfer's role in the film to Beta-Ray Bill due to licensing issues and one character was cut for time. I do want to see a sequel to The Incredible Hulk film though and that if they do it they use it to introduce She-Hulk. That would be awesome.

If MARVEL has a third Hulk movie in the works {probably they do, but you never know}, then it should pick up where Hulk 2008 left off and serve as a stand-alone prequel to The Avengers.

As for Sony developing a female-centered Spider-Man spin off movie, it may be centered around Black Cat, but like many Spider-Man fans, I think that if a female-centered movie is greenlit by Sony, it could end up like that crap 2004 Catwoman movie.

There's been talk about a brand new Hulk TV show starring Mark Ruffalo as David Banner, based on the movies.

As for Sony developing a female-centered Spider-Man spin off movie, if Sony wants such a movie to be successful, Sony should consider a female director because a majority of movies that had female ensembles that were directed by male directors sucked. That's just my opinion, but most male directors don't really understand "the female perspective."

Yep. Mark Ruffalo is especially interested because he had grown up watching the old Incredible Hulk TV show when it first ran (as did I).

A new Hulk TV show would kick ass! I loved the last movie with Ed Norton and felt like Ruffalo did a great job continuing.

A series set between the last Hulk movie and the Avengers would be too cool.
