How could someone like Heath Ledger who possessed so much talent come to a fate like this?

Yeah....I was shocked to hear the news. One of my favourite actor, I really love his voice.

It's kinda weird, because just a week before Brad Renfro also died in a sudden.

i honestly think talent is as much burden as it is a boon. sure it makes you special but your skill and the intensity you have for your passion basically makes it impossible to live comfortably. Heath lived alone in a hotel for six months for The Dark Knight, basically living and breathing The Joker every moment of every day so he'd give a great performance. i can't imagine a person that passionate being able to resign himself to every day banality.

James you're right about that. Ledger got so into the role as The Joker that he said he couldn't sleep and needed sleeping pills.

I think he literally drove himself crazy. Have you heard his Joker laugh?

It's horrible. The guy was a fantastic, promising young actor, he has a bloody 2 year old daughter, he was about to start Terry Gilliam's next movie...wait a minute. Gilliam's movies ALWAYS end up getting postponed and entering production hell--it must be Gilliam's fault for casting Ledger into his movie thus making him a particularly harsh victim of the Gilliam Film Curse...no, I'm kidding. Really, I shouldn't be joking at all. It's horrible. Just horrible.

Wanna be outraged as well as sad?

I was terribly shocked when I heard of this. I had a great respect for him as an actor. I'm still having a hard time believing it now. RIP Heath Ledger. :( It will be hard to watch The Dark Knight now.

I read in a news article yesterday that his family said it was an accident. I also heard that the sleeping pills weren't working for him, so he could have possibly taken more than he should of, leading to OD. :(

LOL...I don't even know who Heath Ledger is

I am guessing an actor.
My guess...stereotypical celebrity death ie; overdose.

Why didn't Mel Gibson die instead of Heath Ledger?

She probably will be next, if she keeps doing what she's doing. I'm suprised she's still alive now. Around this time last year I seriuosly thought that she'd be dead by the end of the year.

She won't die. Only the talented die young. She'll be around for a while putting out her crappy lip-synched music, if can even call it music.

No-one dies from being talented; he's just the latest in a long line of people who couldn't handle success.

Go figure.

Never said you die from being talented. However, a lot of talented artist are very troubled people.
