I am not a bible scholar. I could not make an argument, or prove anything, worth squat. However, Dan McClellan does have academic training in ancient Greek and Hebrew, and he is a biblical scholar. He discusses and argues points with other biblical scholars, determining exact what is and is not in the bible. I was hesitant posting this because religion is something some people hold very close to their believes, and I believe gives people comfort, or not, when it comes to their own demise. I don't take enjoyment, potentially telling people they are wrong, and I am not going to insist that my views on how we conduct ourselves in life, or what happens when our temporary existence comes to an end, is the right one. I cannot possibly know. I think I have mentioned it elsewhere in the forums. I post this because he emphases critical thinking and historical facts. I watch his videos when there is something that perks my interest. For instance his channel has a recent video about angels, and angels having wings. He has videos discussing evangelists claims about LGBTQ and how dangerous they are to some. He exposes the fabrications and outright lies. The difference in my mind are fabrications are leaps in understanding with nothing to back them up. Outright lies are made for money, control, and power. I am more than guilty of coming up with fabrications. When I was 18 I reasoned that man was created in the image of god was not so much in god's likeness, but that image referenced within the entity of god, god as the ever expanding universe. I liked that idea, but it truly bears no connection to anything. It is just a metaphor.
