The Dead Hate The Living.

Schlocky horror flick, where a small budget horror movie crew are filming illegally in a deserted hospital, when they discover a corpse inside some sort of sarcophagus. Of course, they make the mistake of trying to incorporate said body and body container into their movie, with horrendous results.
Hardly a great movie, but a fun one.

The Salvation.

Western, in which a Danish immigrant and his brother meets his newly arrived wife and son, after he's successfully homesteaded. When his wife is raped and murdered with their son, he kills the outlaws. As one of the dead outlaws was the brother of the local outlaw gang leader, the Danish immigrant farmer is the target of the man's revenge, and the town, which is paying "protection money" to the gang, is more than willing to hand him over.
Very intense movie western. Highly recommended.

I'm watching it now on Prime. Interesting and disturbing in equal measure but a good watch.

The bathtub scene was pretty gross - but not as gross as the scene later on, involving blood. 8O :eew:

Edit: Finished it.
Wow and wow indeed. An excellent, very dark tale - recommended! :star:

I Am Not A Serial Killer.

A small town teen outcast, diagnosed as a sociopath, and works with his mother in their funeral home, becomes obsessed with discovering the identity of a brutal serial killer who harvests the organs of his victims. To his shock, he discovers that not only is the killer actually his friendly elderly neighbor, but that said neighbor isn't even really human. In the cat-and-mouse game that develops between the two, the young sociopath learns even a monster from Hell can even feel love.
First rate horror movie. Highly recommended.

Octopus (2000)

One of those early 21st Century 'B' movies that make you wonder whether there's any hope for what's left of 'Western Civilization'. A CIA agent, an unconvincing bimbo scientist and a brain dead submarine commander battle it out against terrorists and a giant mutant octopus somewhere near Bulgaria. Next up: Octopus 2 (seriously, folks).

Last night we watched:

Violent Night [2022]
<=>"You better watch out."

Santa isn't a particularly nice person. Nor a bad person. He's just got a job to do and would like to do it without much trouble, though the cookies are nice!

But things get very unnice when he goes down the chimney of an incredibly wealthy familly...during a massive, violent robbery. And one of the people in the house is a young girl on his "nice" list.

By the way, before he delivered Christmas presents he was a warrior. A very, very good warrior.
Especially good if he happens to have a large hammer to work with. He seems to be from the same part of the world as Thor.

Much to my suprised /\/\R E C O M M E N D E D/\/\

My biggest complaint: A number of the characters seemed sort of familiar but a review of IMDb says I am not familiar with those actors.

The Apartment (1960) https://www.imdb.com/title/tt0053604/

An excellent film, to which many of our lonely hearts ought to relate.

Stars Jack Lemmon as an office clerk who allows executives in his company to use his apartment for extra-marital hanky panky.
