This movie is generally not taken seriously so I guess I am in a minority...I think this is a very good movie!

I actually liked it quite a bit.

Currently watching Night on the Galactic Railroad on the Vizio WatchFree+ streaming service. Very weird movie.

Last night we watched:

Fantastic Four: Rise of the Silver Surfer [2007]
<=>"Rise"

EXCELLENT

It's a shame there were only two movies in this specific set.

You and I are in the minority, as most people hated this movie. I actually rather liked it.

The Offence (1972)

Starring Sean Connery as a police officer who kills a suspect he's interrogating. The film has a dubious reputation in some quarters and many people might find it difficult to watch, but I thought it had plenty of presence and atmosphere and was well worth the effort.

Schlock.

Lighthearted documentary about the history of exploitation movies that had shocked the public at the time, but now seem rather tame. Interviewed are leading lights in bad cinema, such as Corman and Arkoff.
Truly fun watch.

I watched the Netflix movie "A House of Dynamite" last weekend.

It is regarding a ficitional lone nuclear missile scenario that's launched at the US. It was interesting and showed the very real and immense pressure the whole government and military would be under should that occur. One of the scariest nuclear war movies I've ever seen was "The Day After" made in 1983. It scared me a good bit watching it when I was younger and stayed with me for a long long time. I think it's a movie every political leader in the world should see.

Threads (1984) was basically the British Day After, and it was even more horrific than its American counterpart.

Last night, after watching something else, we watched:

Blade Runner [1982]
<=>"Man Has Made His Match... Now It's His Problem"

One of the all-time great Science Fiction movies.

#missingcouple.

Found footage horror film. A married couple who make Youtube videos of their life, have gone missing after relocating to an isolated farm in rural Mississippi. Making his own videos is a fan searching for them, who claims to be their friend... but is he?
Interesting movie, where revelations are only gradually made in a story told on video, but where the truth is not always clear.

Monday we watched Kolchak: The Night Stalker [1974–1975] episode 12: "Mr. R.I.N.G." [Jan 10, 1975], which was set in 1975 and showed an early U.S. military robot project by the Tyrell Institute.

Tuesday we watched Blade Runner [1982] which showed us a year 2019 in which Tyrell Corporation has a thriving replicant business.

Last night we watched three related 2017 short films set in the year 2049:
"Blade Runner: Black Out 2022" (short)
"2036: Nexus Dawn" (short)
"2048: Nowhere to Run" (short)
Which show us the effective collapse of Tyrell Corporation's replicant project and its replacement by the Wallace Corporation.

This provided us a bridge to:

Blade Runner 2049 [2017]
<=>"The key to the future is finally unearthed."

We both enjoyed all of the above and they are definitely  R E C O M M E N D E D !

Bad Santa.

Hilarious when my wife and I first saw this when it first ran in the theaters, and it's held up with time.

Perfect Blue. What David Lynch would make if he were making anime.
