War horse

any good?

Yes it was. It was mostly in the point view of the horse. It has good people from every side of the war who the horse met.
And it was accutute about world war one.

So... it's straight from the horse's mouth?

Zombieland - 7/10
Unknown - 6/10
Crazy, Stupid, Love - 9/10
Accidents Happen - 5/10
Sleeping Beauty (2011) - 7/10

Unknown, Accidents Happen and Sleeping beauty were new to me. Unknown is your average Liam Neeson hitting people flick, nowhere near as good as Taken.
Accidents Happen was a strange movie that I wanted to love, but the first half appeared like a comedy and the second half ended up being a mostly bad acted attempt at drama. The film had no real identity and some pretty bad actors, which really cost a good story, good casting and fantastic set design.
Sleeping Beauty is a rather haunting movie, clinically sterile and really removes the viewer from a lot of situations. It doesn't spell things out, really makes you work it out yourself and has impeccable acting. A distinct lack of any real soundtrack to speak of lowered this to 7/10, would've been higher with proper musical accompaniment. (I don't mean pop songs dotted throughout, I mean subtle noise in the form of music that aids scenes, rather than overpowering silence.)

Just moments ago, we got finished watching Real Steel. I must say, it was a whole lot better than I thought it was going to be.

I agree, even though it's been a while since I've watched it myself.

Contagion... again, Yogi Bear (which was horrible), and Tim and Eric's Billion Dollar Movie... which was also terrible.

I just got back from seeing The Descendants.

I had to bite the back of my hand as several points
in the movie were very emotional.

The Thing (2011) - Good movie. Stayed true to the original and respectable characters, none of that Quarantine 2 Darwin Awards crap.

Colombiana - Another one that I was half worried about but on the outset but was quite relieved to see it turned out well. The martial arts in the end were Bourne Identy/ Kali stuff as well (which I love and respect seeing it repped). Not to give any spoilers but I got a good laugh out of the toothbrushes as palm sticks. Class.
