Me: (Quietly) "Not yet! Let's surprise him in his room after the ship sails. That way, he can't have us throw out."

Scratchansniff: "No, no. I'm just hearing things. There are not here." (Chuckles, walks along the deck)

Me: " I see. "

Me: "Look, there he goes."

(Scratchansniff enters a room)

Me: " Let's go! "

(Scratchansniff checks under the bed, and inside the closet for us)

Scratchansniff: "Ah-ha!" (We are not in the closet) "Oh. . . They are not here! I did it! I did it! I got away from them at last!" (Laughs happily, removes his disguise.)

Me: (Inside the room, invisible) "That's what you think, you little sneak. . ."

(Ship's horn blows. Scratchansniff prepares to leave the room to join the other passengers in saying 'goodbye'.)

Me: "Now."

Me: " Surprise! "

Wakko: "Aloha!"

(Scratchansniff turns around, screams and fall over)

Me: (Looks down) "Not bad on the diving form, but he didn't land in the water. Judges?"

Me: " I give him a 6! "

Never occurred to me where the name for my dog came from until I saw this. Must have been thinking about it subconciously. :-)
Yes, our dog is named, "Benjamin P. (for puppydog) Buttons" but we just call him Buttons.
