Copland.

Ray Liotta is my favorite actor. He acts so well even when he's just standing and smoking a cig. His eyes
are always so tense, so he's always exuding some type of emotion. Very good actor. Stalone is
the main character - he plays a cop that looks the other way to these cops who've created this "cop land"
sort of mafia, but eventually wakes up and Liotta and Stalone kick ass.

I also saw 'Identity' with Liotta in it. But that was the only good part of the film. The film itself is total crap
as it plays on Multiple Personality Disorder. That's not why I don't like it, the film is just stupid IMHO.

Disney's Tarzan

Wow. Just... wow. I had forgotten how awesome this movie was. I haven't felt this excited about seeing a movie since I saw Tim Burton's Alice in Wonderland for the first time in 2010, and that's saying a lot.

I bawled at the beginning when Kala and Kerchak's baby died. My brother asked me how I could cry over a baby gorilla and not feel anything for human children. I don't really know. :?

Tarzan's characterization surprised me, because for some reason I expected him to be very serious and solemn, but he seemed pretty sunny and emotive, not to mention kind and gentle. I like that in a character. Kala reminded me exactly of my mom. And Terk was really cool too.

"The Aviator". I saw it yesterday and rather enjoyed it, especially the performances of pretty much all the actors and actresses involved. The only thing I didn't really get was the ending, which left me confused.

Disney's The Hunchback of Notre Dame

I rather enjoyed it, but it was incredibly dark for a "children's" movie. Frollo has got to be the best (worst?) villain I have ever seen, especially when you take into account that there were probably a lot of men like him in real life at various points in history.

I identified a lot with Quasimodo's personality - kindhearted, yet often angry or sad. And always up for a hug. :) And yes I do feel bad that he didn't get the girl, but I think it had more to do with the fact that he never had the chance to make his true feelings known to Esmeralda rather than as a result of her being shallow as a lot of people claim.

I've never read the book, but I was told that in the end, Esmeralda died, and that Quausimodo had held her body in the dump till he died. Long after, workmen found a female skeleton held by a horribly deformed skeleton. When they were moved, both skeletons collapsed into dust, mixing together.
Now, if that isn't dark and sad, I don't know what is.

Biographical sports drama film about Jake LaMotta, the middleweight boxer.

I like how they shot the movie. In Black and White. Also DeNiro and Scorcese.....nice combination.

Yes, those two are great: Mean Streets, Taxi Driver, Raging Bull, Goodfellas, Cape Fear, Casino. I've seen all those movies.

Dark and sad, perhaps, but I find it to be kind of romantic in a morbid sort of way.

Yes - he has her in death when he could never have had her in life.

Yesterday, I saw The Watch, about an alien invasion of a small suburban town.

It's funnier than you think it is; Jonah Hill and Billy Crudup steal scene after scene,
and yes, there are some scenes where you will want to cover your eyes and say to
yourself "I did not need to see that."

Lockout (2012) Good futuristic Die Hard rip-off. Guy Pearce is terrific.

21 Jump Street (2012) Much better than I ever would have expected. Channing Tatum should stick to comedies, because he makes more of an impression here than he ever has as a serious actor.

Seeking Justice (2011) Also better than I expected. I thought I had the plot predicted, but it kept surprising me. Nicolas Cage and Guy Pearce are good.

Bucky Larson: Born to Be a Star (2011) Sometimes funny, mostly not. Don Johnson is hilarious. Christina Ricci plays practically the same role in Pecker, a much better comedy.

Flesh for Frankenstein (1973) Also known as Andy Warhol's Frankenstein. Nice companion piece to Blood for Dracula, aka Andy Warhol's Dracula, though not quite as good. Contains one of the best lines ever uttered in a horror film: "To know death, Otto, you have to f*** life in the gall bladder."
