Batman Begins/The Dark Knight hands down.

Christopher Nolan is much better interpreter of Batman than Tim Burton.

Although Tim Burton's version was enjoyable, his take was too stylistic for my cup of tea.

What about the Batman serial from 1943? Lewis Wilson starred as Batman and J. Carrol Naish starred as the villain. Batman would tie people up in his bat cave and have bats flying about.

that's why it doesn't age well. it's got an anti-japanese tone that was going on in ww2. batman as a government agent? no.

My favorite Batman was Batman Forever. I liked the art design of it, and the Batman in that film wasn't the cold killer who had no problem with blowing a badguy up for robbing a store like in Batman Returns. Then again he did kill Two Face by making him fall into a jagged pool of rocks, but that was pretty much a kill or be killed situation.

I also loved Sugar and Spice. Even though they didn't do anything in the entire movie, they were still cool just because of their names and how they dressed (and I love the scene where they made Two Face his favorite meals). However if I were Two Face, I'd probably replace them with two sexy muscular men named Salt and Pepper.
