Amelie is one of my favourite films - she shows some very aspie traits in my opinion (notices small details, never really been bothered about people, socially awkward, obsessive...)

I just love everything about the film.

Yes, I love Amelie too.

The first time I saw it was definitely a long way pre-diagnosis when I didn't know what aspergers was. I identified with her quite a bit, and she reminded me strongly of other people I know too.

Now that I think about it - yes - very aspie.

Well spotted.

23 - Nichts ist so wie es scheint

Far better than the Joel Schumacher movie, this 1998 movie from Germany is the true story of conspiracy-obsessed, drug-addicted young hacker Karl Koch, who spied for the KGB in the late 80s. A riveting, darkly comic thriller and deeply moving psychological drama with excellent actors and wonderful period atmosphere, I'm surprised it wasn't distributed internationally. It captures late Cold War paranoia perfectly and is delightfully geeky too, with Karl and his friend playing Bach music backwards and attending a talk by controversial satirist Robert Anton Wilson.
