Just started a Japanese live-action psychological drama series by the name of The Liar Game.
In short, naive Nao Kanzaki finds a package outside her front door containing 100 million yen. By opening said package, she is obliged to participate in something called The Liar Game, in which contestants are encouraged to lie, cheat and steal from each other and the person with the most money at the end of said contest wins. The losers are forced into a life of servitude to pay back the 100 million yen, or the amount they have lost. After being tricked by her former teacher, Mr Fujisawa, in desperation, Nao turns to con man Shin'ichi Akiyama for help.
Despite slightly ropey acting (as is the case with live-action Japanese dramas), it was quite a treat to see how manipulative people can be when cornered and the cliffhangers from the first two episodes were pretty good.
